四惡趣

(四惡趣, 四恶趣)

(or [lang id =1028]四惡道) The four (sa) apāya, or evil destinies: the hells, as hungry ghosts, animals, or (sa) asuras. The (sa) asuras are sometimes evil, sometimes good, hence the term [lang id =1028]三惡道 'three evil destinies' excepts the (sa) asuras.
